🌿 Litter Free Upland: Small Actions. Big Impact. Real Community Pride. 🌿

Sometimes the best movements don’t start with a big plan, they start with people who simply care.

Litter Free Upland began when Upland residents Josh Day and Stacy De Losh started picking up litter during their neighborhood walks. What began as a simple habit turned into a shared passion, a friendship, and ultimately a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to keeping Upland clean, welcoming, and beautiful. They didn’t wait for someone else to fix the problem, they stepped up and led by example.

Today, Litter Free Upland brings together volunteers from across the city week after week to clean our streets, parks, shopping centers, and neighborhoods. It’s neighbors helping neighbors, building pride in the places we live, work, and raise our families.

And the impact is nothing short of impressive:

🗑️ 2025 Results:
2.2 tons of trash removed
• That’s
4,420 pounds of litter kept out of our parks, sidewalks, and storm drains

🗑️ 2026 (and already going strong):
1,051 pounds removed—and climbing

Their social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok captures what makes this group special. The cleanup videos aren’t just satisfying to watch, they’re inspiring. They show what happens when everyday people come together with a shared purpose. No complaints. No finger-pointing. Just action. That’s the power of community and the power of numbers.

If you’ve ever wished Upland looked a little cleaner, felt a little more connected, or showed a little more civic pride—this is your invitation. You don’t need special skills or a big time commitment. Just show up, lend a hand, and be part of something positive.
