Books have a way of shaping our lives, expanding our knowledge, and sparking our imaginations. But what happens when we finish a book, and it begins to gather dust on a shelf? Instead of letting it sit unused, consider giving it a second life by donating it to the Friends of the Upland Public Library!

The Friends of the Upland Public Library is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to supporting the library through volunteer efforts, fundraising, and book sales. This group of passionate individuals ensures that our local library remains a vibrant hub of learning and literacy.

Funds raised by the Friends—through book sales at the Book Seller and membership dues—go directly back into the library, helping to purchase new materials, support educational programs, and improve library facilities.

Donating books to the Friends of the Upland Library is an excellent way to keep books in circulation and out of landfills.

By recycling books, you:

Promote Literacy – Your books can find a new home with someone eager to read and learn.

Support the Library – Proceeds from book sales directly fund essential library programs and resources.

Help the Environment – Instead of tossing books into the trash, keep them in use and reduce waste.

Declutter Your Home – Free up space while ensuring your books continue to make an impact.

How to Donate

The Friends of the Upland Library accept gently used books and DVDs during the library’s open hours. Donations can be brought to the library, where they will be sorted and sold to benefit the community.
