SLOW DOWN!!!

I want to remind all residents to please be mindful of your speed when driving near our schools.

While the school year is winding down, student safety remains a top priority year-round. Whether it's drop-off in the morning, after-school programs in the afternoon, or even summer enrichment activities, children and families are still present around our campuses—and often when drivers least expect them.

Speeding through school zones not only endangers lives, it undermines the sense of safety our families should feel when sending their kids to school. We cannot rely solely on signs and enforcement—awareness and responsibility must come from each of us behind the wheel.

Slowing down in a school zone might add a few seconds to your commute, but it could save a life. I urge all of us to stay vigilant, remain patient, and make school zone safety a habit—not just during the school year, but every single day.
