Strong Community Turnout for Grove Avenue Rehabilitation Project Meeting
Meeting Highlights
Residents Share Valuable Feedback on Upcoming Grove Avenue Improvements
Community participation was front and center on Thursday, November 5, as the City of Upland hosted its first community meeting for the Grove Avenue Rehabilitation Project, covering Grove Avenue from Foothill Boulevard to just north of 15th Street.
Held at the historic Carnegie Library, the meeting was very well attended by residents eager to learn more about the proposed improvements and have a voice in the future of this important roadway.
City Engineering staff provided an opportunity for residents to learn about the project's scope, ask questions, express concerns, and offer suggestions as the City moves forward with the planning process.
What made the meeting particularly successful was the level of community engagement. Residents came prepared with thoughtful questions, shared their firsthand experiences, and provided valuable feedback that will help City staff better understand neighborhood priorities as the project progresses.
I want to personally thank everyone who took the time to attend and participate. Your involvement matters, and these conversations are an important part of ensuring that City projects reflect the needs and concerns of the people who live in our neighborhoods and use our streets every day.
Improving Upland's aging streets and infrastructure remains one of my top priorities. Projects like the Grove Avenue Rehabilitation are an important part of addressing our infrastructure needs, but equally important is making sure residents have an opportunity to participate in the process before decisions are finalized.
I also want to thank our City Engineering staff for organizing the meeting, answering residents' questions, and creating an opportunity for meaningful community dialogue.
This was a great example of local government and residents working together to improve our community.
As the Grove Avenue Rehabilitation Project continues moving forward, I will keep residents informed about its progress, upcoming milestones, and additional opportunities for community involvement.
Thank you again to everyone who attended and helped make this first community meeting a success!
