Upland Earns National Award for Financial Excellence

I’m proud to share that the City of Upland has once again been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for our Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.

This recognition represents the highest form of achievement in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and it reflects our City’s continued commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and honest communication with the community.

I want to take a moment to personally thank our Finance Department team for their hard work, accuracy, and dedication. Their commitment to maintaining the highest standards in financial reporting not only ensures compliance—it builds confidence and trust in how Upland manages taxpayer dollars.

As City Manager Mike Blay shared, “This recognition from GFOA underscores the integrity and excellence of our City’s financial management. We’re deeply proud of our finance team for their diligence and professionalism in maintaining the trust of our residents and ensuring responsible stewardship of public funds.”
